Reporting to the Manufacturing Planning and Materials Director, the Manufacturing Planner will oversee all aspects of the production planning process, including the integration of forecasting data for released products within our supply chain. This role will ensure that the production schedules are accurate and timely, allowing us to consistently meet delivery commitments and support our growth. This position will work closely with other departments including but not limited to Operations, Sales, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, and R&D teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain production schedules for two manufacturing facilities.
  • Work with Supply Chain Analysts to ensure proper stocking of raw materials for specific production runs and adjust schedule as needed.
  • Providing regular updates on production status, challenges, and progress to upper management and coordinate relevant governance with other departments.
  • Managing disruptions or setbacks to minimize impact on the production timeline.
  • Define, implement and execute the plant's production plan to maximize available resources, optimize inventories and planned downtime or change over.
  • Provide accurate and timely information to support material requirements and purchase requisitions.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve production planning process, leveraging industry best practices and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Work closely with sales to collect relevant data, update production planning tools, arbitrate between sales and other business requirements and maintain accurate information in our database for seamless production scheduling.
  • Manage the entry or change of production orders in the system, forecasting in advance to support efficient procurement and resource planning.
  • Identify potential planning issues, collaborate with the Supply Chain team to address them early, and develop risk mitigation strategies.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business, accounting or a related field and three (3) years of experience in planning or supply chain in a manufacturing field or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience required.

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • High degree of collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Working knowledge of continuous improvement and problem-solving tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Salary Range: $70,000 to $90,000 Annually
