• Evaluate and enhance manufacturing processes using Lean Six Sigma tools to improve product quality, reduce cycle times and costs, and optimize production efficiency.
• Lead special projects, including capital equipment design, workflow automation, and implementation of support equipment.
• Collaborate with vendors to ensure parts, equipment, and tooling meet quality standards and specifications.
• Provide engineering support to production departments, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
• Deliver updates on new products and changes while developing and optimizing manufacturing processes.
• Prepare capital expenditure requests and manage approved projects to completion.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by coaching and mentoring employees as part of the Operational Excellence (Opex) group.
• Enhance manufacturing efficiency by analyzing workflow, space utilization, and equipment layouts.
• Ensure product and process quality by designing testing methods, validating finished products, and confirming process capabilities.
• Provide decision-making data by calculating production, labor, and material costs, and analyzing trends to predict future needs.
• Prepare detailed reports on product and process performance through data collection and analysis.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline required.
• Experience: 8-10+ years in quality or process engineering within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred.
• Project Management skills; PMP certification is a plus.
• Proficient in manufacturing improvement methodologies such as Root Cause Analysis, CAPA, and FMEA.
• Familiarity with PLC, drive systems, robotics, CNC programming, and industrial automation is an advantage.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio) and ERP/MRP systems.
• Strong analytical skills for addressing BOM errors and cost variances.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities at all organizational levels.
• Experience in global, fast-paced, cross-functional team environments.
• Knowledge of explosives and safety protocols is beneficial
• Previous experience with hazardous materials handling is advantageous.
