Manufacturing Project Manager

JK Executive Strategies is proud to partner with an established manufacturing firm in search of a Manufacturing Project Manager to join its team! The Manufacturing Project Manager will oversee, lead, and drive all aspects of manufacturing projects, including scope definition, planning, budget estimations, execution, and monitoring, to ensure timely delivery within budget and quality standards.

This role requires coordination with cross-functional teams, risk management, and strict adherence to safety guidelines within a production facility.

Responsibilities

Project Planning and Initiation:

• Collaborate with key leaders to identify new project opportunities, document, and standardize current processes and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Track a wide range of projects running concurrently (diverse projects ranging from contract negotiations to machine fabrication, install to new product design and launch, etc.)
• Prepare team meeting agendas, capture meeting updates, and convert into project plan deliverables, prepare executive summary updates
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
• Analyze data provided by various teams and distill into precise action items and summary presentations for management decisions.
• Develop detailed project timelines and work breakdown structures.
• Estimate project costs and resource requirements.
• Identify potential risks and mitigation strategies.
• Support operations in the creation of cost benefit analysis and delivery of business plan.

Team Management:

• Assemble and lead a cross-functional project team including engineers, technicians, operators and quality inspectors.
• Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively.
• Foster collaboration and communication within the team.

Project Execution and Monitoring:

• Track project progress against the plan, identifying and addressing any deviations.
• Manage project budget and resource allocation.
• Monitor quality control measures throughout the production process.
• Identify and resolve production bottlenecks and issues.

Stakeholder Communication:

• Regularly update stakeholders on project status and key milestones.
• Address concerns and manage expectations from different departments and clients.

Continuous Improvement:

• Analyze project data to identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction.
• Implement new technologies and methodologies to enhance production efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Create measurable KPI's that will quantify success on critical to growth projects.
• Other duties as assigned

Travel: 15-20%

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline required.
• 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager in a manufacturing environment required.
• Project Management Certification (PMP) preferred.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality control methodologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience using Project Management databases and software tools.
• Strong business acumen.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Exceptional decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to drive cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.

Salary Range

• $85-100k
