Description

The Manufacturing Quality Manager - Aerospace will be responsible for the following:

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and procedures to meet aerospace standards (e.g., AS9100, NADCAP).
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve quality issues.
• Perform inspections and audits of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process optimization and waste reduction.
• Analyze production workflows and recommend enhancements to improve quality and efficiency.
• Lead initiatives to implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Assist in the development and validation of manufacturing processes and procedures.
• Provide technical support for new product introductions and changes to existing designs.
• Participate in design reviews to ensure manufacturability and adherence to quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, customer, and internal quality requirements.
• Maintain accurate records, including inspection reports, process documentation, and quality metrics.
• Prepare and present quality reports to management and customers.
• Actively participate in shop floor activities to address quality and manufacturing challenges.
• Train and mentor production staff on quality standards and best practices.
• Operate and troubleshoot equipment as necessary to support production.

Profile

The ideal Manufacturing Quality Manager - Aerospace will have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

• 2+ years of experience in a quality or manufacturing engineering role, preferably within the aerospace industry.

• Strong understanding of aerospace quality standards (e.g., AS9100, NADCAP).

• Proficiency in using quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, and root cause analysis techniques.

• Familiarity with CAD software and statistical analysis tools.

• Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes, such as machining, welding, or composites.

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

• Certification in Lean Six Sigma or CQE is a plus.

Job Offer

The successful Manufacturing Quality Manager - Aerospace will be rewarded with the following:

• Base Salary of $70,000-$110,000 depending on experience
