**I.****General Summary:**Responsible for assisting with all functions of the Production Controldepartment. Oversee new program launch activities and assist with scheduling,forecasting, kanban system, and planning. Oversee the daily administration ofPEFF.**II. Essential Job Functions:**A. Communicate with suppliers regarding goods and services for current and newmodels.B. Complete Production Control monthly reporting.C. Coordinate and communicate with all departments for product launch, modelchange, and ECI activities.D. Manage kanban system.E. Coordinate shipping and receiving activities as needed.F. Complete requisitions for appropriate approvals and account numbers.G. Work closely with Production Control department to ensure proper suppliesarrive.H. Trace delinquent arrivals from purchase orders.I. Support revenue growth by working with sales and customers.**III.****Minimum QualificationsRequirements** :**Education:**• Bachelors degree in Business, Manufacturing, Engineering, or related fieldrequired; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.**Experience:**• Greater than 4 years of Production Control experience in a manufacturingfacility required. Automotive environment preferred.• Production Control program launch experience for new programs.• Experience with Toyota launch systems and requirements preferred.• Previous exposure to a multicultural office environment preferred.**PersonalTechnical Skills:**• Basic shop math ability required (i.e., addition, subtraction,multiplication, division).• Understanding of conceptual math (i.e., basic geometry, charts and graphs)required.• Understanding of elementary statistical concepts (i.e., standard deviation,variance, etc.).• Thorough understanding and working knowledge of automotive plants andprocesses, company products, trade terminology, quality management and controlsystems and techniques, manufacturing processes, tooling and equipment, andmachine operation.• Ability to read, interpret, and understand engineering documents such asautomotive drawings (component, assembly, and equipment), technical standards,design specifications, general tolerances, critical characteristics, GeometricDimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T;), Engineering Change Instructions (ECI),Prototype Parts Requests (PPR), and color instructions.• General understanding of Toyota Production System (TPS) is preferred.• Good understanding of seat, welding, door, carpet, and headliner processesare a plus.• Good presentation skills.• Effective time management skills.• Ability to work in a team environment.• Strong organization and planning skills.• Excellent critical thinking skills required.• Good assertiveness and negotiation skills.• Hands-on, self-starter with a strong work ethic.• Active listener with effective communication skills.• Ability to compile effective and concise visual reports.• Ability to perform responsibilities with minimal supervision.• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural work environment.• Ability to maintain records and files and prepare recaps and reports.• Ability to maintain on call flexibility to control abnormal conditions.• Ability to be flexible in a constantly changing production environment.• Ability to communicate and work well with all levels of the organization.• Ability to create excellent working relationships with internal and externalcustomers.• Must be able to work a fixed or rotating shift schedule, including daily orweekend overtime.• Ability to multitask, manage diversity, and facilitate effective problemsolving and resolution.**Language Skills:**• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.**ComputerSoftware:**• Solid working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office and othercomputer-based applications (e.g., MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, LotusNotesOutlook, Internet, etc.).**IV.****Work EnvironmentConditions** :**Office:** Open Office Environment, moderate noise level.**Plant:** Standard automotive plant environment with moderate noise level.PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as safety glasses, steel toe shoes,hearing protection, etc. may be required in engineering, manufacturing, orindustrial areas. Personal attire standards may apply.**Travel:** Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time**V.****Physical Demands:**While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to talk,see, and hear.
