Job Description :

This is a highly visible role within the organization. This individual will primarily be responsible for:

  • Managing day-to-day activities of the manufacturing facility and its workforce. This includes developing and retaining employees and providing additional supervision of department operations.
  • Creating production schedules, sets performance objectives, and oversees operations to ensure smooth processes and regulatory compliance. This includes managing shutdowns, coordinating planning and scheduling for optimizing utilization between production runs.
  • Developing strategies to achieve production targets while minimizing costs. This includes managing the budget, ensuring cost-effective execution.
  • Leading project management and process improvement activities at the facility. This includes leading continuous process improvements annually to enhance productivity and lower operational costs and executing Capital plans for the site.
  • Ensuring a safe workplace for all employees. This includes oversight of safety performance and implementing support programs for the site. Ensuring full compliance with all relevant OSHA, state & local, ISO regulations, and that all work within the plant adheres to these guidelines.
  • Demonstrating strong leadership, clear communication, proactive problem-solving, and a high level of accountability.

The Ideal Candidates will have the following skills & abilities:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) as required.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
  • Expertise in Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action processes.
  • Capable of setting high standards, managing expectations, and holding others accountable.
  • Strategic planning, anticipating risks and preparing contingency plans.
  • Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills.

Education & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years within a chemical related industry.
  • B.S. degree in Engineering or similar discipline. Chemical Engineering is highly preferred.
  • Prior experience/focus with production and process engineering activities
