Job DescriptionIlluminate USA, a new standalone joint venture established by two global leaders in renewable energy, is building one of the largest solar panel manufacturing factories in the Western Hemisphere. This 1.1 million-square-foot factory is currently in advanced stages of preparation in the Columbus, Ohio area. Job Summary:We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Support Manager for our new factory in Pataskula, Ohio.This manufacturing support manager manages operations of production areas to ensure that volume, cost, waste, and quality standards are achieved. Other main responsibilities include: Follows overall production schedules to manage staffing and establish daily and shift production goals. Monitors shift production metrics to identify and resolve issues and implement process improvements. Coordinates maintenance, turnarounds, and downtime for efficiency and speed. Ensures that staff training processes, equipment, gear, and tool requirements are fulfilled to comply with health and safety regulations. Coaches teams in best practices to provide a safe and efficient work environment and resolve escalated issues and problems.Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the production task issued by the planning department, reasonable arrangement and implementation of production, to ensure the workshop monthly/annual production plan;
  • Responsible for the implementation of process specifications and quality requirements in the production process to ensure product quality;
  • Responsible for summarizing and exchanging information on production;
  • Responsible for implementing various production management systems of the production department and promoting 6S/quality improvement;
  • Participate in the analysis of the causes of defective products or abnormal production and the formulation of countermeasures;
  • Participate in the quality assessment of equipment and related auxiliary materials, and produce spare parts;
  • Participate in the evaluation and improvement of production processes, efficiencies and costs;
  • Responsible for the implementation of the work safety responsibility system, responsible for the investigation and rectification of hidden dangers in production, involved in the prevention of work safety accidents, involved in the analysis of the causes of accidents and the formulation of countermeasures;
  • Responsible for staff management and team building in the workshop;
  • Leading workshops to reduce costs and improve efficiency and quality;
  • Other tasks as assigned by the leader.
Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.
  • 5+ years supervisory experience required.
  • Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes.
  • Strong Knowledge of productions safety, lean production, six sigma required.
  • Strong Knowledge of ISO9001, work-floor 6S standard and Microsoft Office.
  • Perfect learning ability and Curiosities about new things.
  • Ability to speak publicly with confidence and poise.
  • Ability to work under pressure, coordination ability, planning and execution ability;
