The primary role of the manufacturing technician is to provide competent and effective mechanical and electrical maintenance support to the production line and facility operations in a safe manner. Essential Functions:
- The manufacturing technician directly supports daily plant productivity and operations. This position performs routine maintenance, preventative maintenance, servicing, and repairs on all food processing and packaging equipment utilizing a variety of hand and power tools.
- In addition, this individual ensures that all good manufacturing policies, food safety/quality regulations and safety rules are consistently met.
- Responsible for set-up of assigned machine(s) to ensure daily production goals are met.
- Responsible for coordination of product changeovers to maximize line efficiencies.
- Verify that lines are supplied with necessary components to meet daily production schedule.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- 3+ years in an industrial environment in a mechanical or related position
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems
- Read & understand electrical drawings
- Strong mechanical knowledge of gear and motor principals and operation
- Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems repair
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
