Manufacturing Technician - Micro X-Ray : Job Details

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience in various technical tasks. This role involves detailed assembly work, reading of engineering drawings, operation of brazing/vacuum furnaces and troubleshooting skills. The Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our production processes.

Responsibilities

• Review and optimize manufacturing processes throughout the factory.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.
• Participate in MRB meetings and support teams to reduce scrap.
• Operate and maintain various brazing and vacuum furnaces.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to understand assembly specifications and requirements.
• Support manufacturing areas when needed for mechanical pre-assembly of components according to engineering specifications.
• Perform QA checks utilizing measuring tools to ensure accuracy of all work performed.
• Create new brazing recipes based upon braze alloys and material properties.
• Adhere to safety protocols while operating equipment.

Requirements

• Proven experience with brazing processes and braze recipe development.
• Programming experience a plus.
• Ability to inspect parts and a high level of detail for non-conformities.
• Proficiency in engineering drawing reading and interpretation.
• Familiarity with brazing and vacuum ovens and the ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance.
• Strong mechanical knowledge.
• Ability to follow and document written procedures.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
