Manufacturing Test TechnicianWhat you'll doAs a Manufacturing Test Technician, you will be responsible for running end-of-line quality assurance testing on Standard Bots' collaborative robots and control systems. You will work alongside the manufacturing and quality teams to ensure that all products function properly and meet Standard Bots' quality standards.This role is onsite in Glen Cove, NY.Responsibilities
  • Perform calibration, functional testing, and burn-in testing of robotic systems and subassemblies in a manufacturing environment
  • Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions to execute tests
  • Setup and operate laboratory equipment and sensors such as data acquisition systems, motion trackers, load cells, and accelerometers to collect data on robot performance
  • Identify and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software quality defects
  • Maintain records of test results and communicate status to the broader quality and manufacturing teams
  • Aid in the continuous improvement of test processes and tools
Who you areYou are a detail-oriented problem solver with an eye for potential defects and an understanding of how customers use our products. You have experience in a manufacturing environment, are comfortable operating complex machinery, and have a strong mechanical aptitude. An ideal candidate will have experience building, operating, or testing mechanical or electrical systems in a domain such as aerospace, automotive, consumer electronics, or industrial systems.Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience working in manufacturing, quality assurance, or testing of complex mechanical or electrical products
  • Experience with hand and power tools, as well as electrical test equipment such as multimeters and data acquisition systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Basic understanding of mechatronic components such as motors, gearboxes, PCBs, and wire harnesses
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage tasks, and meet project deadlines.
  • Safety-focused mindset and a commitment to ensuring the highest levels of quality and reliability in robotic systems
  • Experience with robotics or mechatronics systems is a plus
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS The expected annual base compensation for this role is $65,000. Base compensation is just one component of the total compensation package offered to Standard Bots employees.
