Title: Marketing and Community Relations Manager

The Grand Oshkosh, Inc., operates the historic Grand Opera House, built in 1883 and the oldest continuously operating theatre in the State of Wisconsin. The Grand was first renovated and re-opened as a performing arts center in 1986, and recently announced a $10 million capital project, partnering with the owners of the facility, the City of Oshkosh. The Grand hosts national performing artists, regional artists, community and high school productions, meetings and weddings, and is a vibrant centerpiece of Downtown Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Job purpose: Reporting to the President/CEO, the Marketing and Community Relations Manager is responsible for managing the overall brand and message for The Grand, as well as increasing its profile in the community through performing arts experiences, arts education, and outreach programming.
Primary responsibilities and accountabilities:
· Work with President and CEO to ensure that all publications reflect the mission and purpose of the organization
· Develop annual marketing and promotion budget and marketing plan
· Develop annual brochures to support programming, fundraising, rental activities
· Manage all production of print and electronic advertising as well as the organization website, social media (Facebook and Twitter) outlets, and mailing lists
· Assist in the coordination, scheduling, and execution of community outreach programs
· Analyze programming and identify target markets
· Develop methods to reach and expand new audiences and new outreach partnerships
· Initiate tools to increase individual ticket sales
· Create and distribute media/press releases
· Develop and oversee special events marketing to support program and fundraising activities
· Coordinate program booklet production
· Other duties as assigned for organizational operations
Experience and Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree with 1-3 years progressive experience in a marketing capacity; experience in non-profit, academic and/or cultural sector preferred
· Possess an appreciation of the arts and passion for advancing the mission of The Grand Oshkosh
· Excellent verbal and written communications skills
· Excellent computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data management software. Knowledge of Canva (or its equivalent), Constant Contact, the AudienceView fundraising platform is a plus.
· Integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to maintain confidentiality
· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to take initiative, multi-task, be a team-player, be flexible, adapt to shifting priorities, and prioritize work
· Ability to work independently and within a team to drive ambitious timelines, establish deadlines, and meet them
· Ability to work a flexible schedule
