Position Summary:

Blue Note Los Angeles is seeking a creative and driven Marketing and Social Media Manager to support the Marketing Director in executing campaigns that promote concerts, events, and the venue itself. This role will focus on building the Blue Note Los Angeles brand across digital, social, and email platforms, managing content creation, and engaging with the local and global audience.

The ideal candidate is a social media and email marketing expert with strong marketing experience, excellent communication skills, and a passion for live music and culture.

Key Responsibilities:

Social Media Strategy and Execution:

  • Develop and execute social media strategies to promote concerts, events, and the Blue Note brand.
  • Manage and grow social media accounts across platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube).
  • Create, schedule, and publish engaging content, including graphics, videos, and live updates.
  • Monitor trends and audience engagement to optimize content and strategy.

Email Marketing:

  • Develop and execute email marketing campaigns to drive ticket sales, promote events, and engage audiences.
  • Manage the venue's email subscriber list, ensuring segmentation and data accuracy.
  • Design visually appealing email templates using tools such as Mailchimp or Constant Contact.
  • Track and analyze email performance metrics, optimizing for open rates, click-through rates, and conversions.

Content Creation and Management:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team and artists to produce compelling content, including photos, videos, and written posts.
  • Ensure all content aligns with the Blue Note brand voice and visual identity.
  • Manage the venue's website, keeping event information accurate and up-to-date.

Event Promotion:

  • Coordinate with artists, agents, and publicists to amplify event promotion through digital and email channels.
  • Execute targeted social media and email campaigns to maximize ticket sales and attendance.
  • Cover events in real-time to enhance audience engagement and capture the Blue Note experience.

Community Engagement:

  • Interact with followers, responding to comments and messages promptly.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local influencers and partners to expand the venue's audience.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the Marketing Director to align efforts with broader marketing strategies.
  • Coordinate with the box office, booking, and operations teams to ensure smooth promotion of events.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in social media and email marketing management.
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms, trends, email marketing tools, and analytics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience in the live music or entertainment industry.
  • Knowledge of jazz and other musical genres.
