Position Summary:

The Part-Time Marketing Coordinator will support our internal and external communications to effectively convey the church's vision, mission, and activities to our congregation and the wider community. This role is an exciting growth opportunity for a creative, strategic communicator who is eager to develop their skills in digital marketing and communications within a supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Digital Presence Management: Assist with managing the WSPC website and social media channels (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram), including content creation, scheduling, and basic analytics.
  • Content Marketing: Support video production and content creation to engage our community and beyond with impactful messaging and storytelling.
  • Email and Direct Mail: Coordinate email marketing and direct mail programs to maintain consistent communication with our congregation and community.
  • Community Engagement: Helpimprove Google and Yelp listings, encourage reviews, and assist with managing the church's events calendar to promote church activities.
  • Data Management and Reporting: Work with staff to track and report on website, social media, and event attendance statistics, utilizing CRM software with the assistance of external support as needed.
  • Signage and Visual Communication: Help create signage in and around the building to guide and inform congregation members and visitors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant coursework/experience in Communications, Marketing, or related field
  • Some experience or a strong interest in marketing
  • Skills in content creation, digital marketing, and social media management are a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with church staff and volunteers
  • Familiarity with website management, SEO, and Google Analytics is a bonus but not required
  • Creative thinker with strong organizational skills and desire to learn
