Role Overview: The Marketing Director will be responsible for leading our marketing strategy including all digital marketing, communications, and PR initiatives. In this role, you will help to develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy and manage contractors and agencies. The Marketing Director's mission will be to reach our target audience with verbal and visual messaging, and consistently engage our audience, while reinforcing our brand. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Direction & Agency Management for Pronghorn, specifically:
- Events and sponsorships
- Build events calendar, seeking out grassroots opportunities to put Pronghorn in front of the Black community and the Spirits industry in relevant markets, negotiating sponsorships and executing contracts.
- Oversee events agency for execution, ensuring we show up consistently and flawlessly.
- Creative for media & promotion
- Ensure appropriate collateral and materials are available.
- Leverage events to grow Pronghorn's database and forge meaningful connections.
- Support strategies and tactics to get the word out about Pronghorn and drive qualified traffic to our front door.
- Social media content and community management
- Work with the social media agency to build and execute a content strategy that drives engagement, while working to grow our reach and followers organically and through community outreach.
- Ensure creative is on-brand and relevant to the communities we serve and are a part of.
- Produce valuable and engaging content for our website and blog that attracts and converts our target groups.
- Deliver reporting bi-weekly. Requires ability to understand analytics and harvest insights.
- PR and thought leadership/speaking opportunities
- Lead development of creative for marketing collateral, media and promotion in tandem with creative agencies. Requires ability to provide clear briefs/direction and feedback.
Supercharging for Brands Pronghorn Invests in:
- Work with founders to provide a menu of services within brand and marketing and digital/ecommerce, including furnishing reports/outputs that will drive their business.
- Lead development of events for the founders and nurturing of the community through Pronghorn-hosted channels.
Professional Experience/Qualifications:
- Passion for Pronghorn's mission is essential.
- Strong influencing and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage with a broad range of stakeholders.
- B.A. or B.S. required, Masters Degree in Marketing Management preferred.
- 5+ years marketing experience; agency experience, ideally in spirits or CPG; or spirits experience, ideally in brand, commercial or consumer planning.
- Self-starter with a drive for results and passion for growth. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and you're not afraid to roll up your sleeves to get the job done.
- Strong communication and writing skills. You're not afraid to dive in and develop the messaging if we need you to quickly draft communication.
- Ability to organize, implement and manage programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures and resources.
