Reporting into the Director of Marketing Operations and working closely with the Chief Marketing Officer, this role is responsible for marketing strategy, planning, and operations.A strategic, analytical thinker and results-oriented self-starter, this person will help to own the monthly marketing brief process and final plans shared with internal and external partners. They will work cross-functionally to ensure marketing plans align with key focus areas and growth opportunities to drive the business.This role is primarily based out of our Greenpoint, Brooklyn office.About the roleEssential Functions:
  • Assist in building and managing monthly marketing strategy/brief to support key business goals and initiatives across women's, men's, and accessories/footwear. Ensure product focus areas, key moments, collaborations, and seasonal messaging are translated into final plans.
  • Leverage organizational and project management skills to implement streamlined communication and operational efficiencies.
  • Support top management requests. Examples include monthly marketing meeting prep, town hall slides, board of directors slides, budget analysis, agendas, and recaps.
  • Help to own overall marketing plans for collaborations and key initiatives including successful execution at strategic and tactical levels with clear communication to stakeholders.
  • Use analytical skills to assist with budget planning, monitoring, and monthly analyses to identify areas of optimization.
  • Own annual operations calendar and vendor agreement tracker monitoring. Leverage Sharepoint site for marketing document organization.
  • Coordinate with counterparts on promotional strategies and marketing messaging.
  • Develop innovative ideas and concepts that set JMcL apart in the marketplace to help build brand awareness among target and prospective customer audiences.
  • Partner and collaborate across Ecommerce, Retail Marketing, Design, Merchandising, and IT to execute all initiatives.
  • Track and report competitor activity and relevant industry trends, events, and opportunities to appropriate teams each month.
  • Act as a brand ambassador and attend industry or appropriate store and corporate events in key markets.
  • Other related duties as assigned.What we are looking forSkills & Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in business is preferred
    • A minimum of 2+ years experience working in a Marketing organization
    • Prior experience in project management preferred
    • A detail-oriented team player who is flexible, resilient, and able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
    • Exercises independent judgment within appropriate limits; consistently confronts problems in an effective way; defends ideas/opinions within reason and effectively
    • Does more than is minimally required; makes productive use of time; sets and maintains timeframes; willing to commit to working until objectives are accomplished
