- Lay building materials, such as brick, structural tile, and concrete cinder, glass, gypsum, and terra cotta block to construct or repair walls, partitions, arches, sewers, and other structures.
- Set up and tear down scaffolding, bracing and temporary structures
- Fasten or fuse brick or other building material to structure with wire clamps, anchor holes, torch, or cement.
- Removes excess mortar from face of block, using trowel.
- Perform demolition/tear down work.
- Renovation and restoration work.
- Interpret blueprints and drawings to determine specifications and to calculate the materials required.
- Display personal commitment to Safety on construction projects with daily efforts to identify, eliminate, and control hazardous conditions that may lead to injury and or property damage using safety standard, best management practices.
- Continuously develop self-knowledge pertaining to new methods, tools, standards or practices related to the construction of the projects the role is assigned to
Position Requirements - Minimum of 2-4 years of experience10-hour OSHA cardholder
- Must be able to pass a fit test and use a respirator when needed
- Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings or other structures, foundations and framing
- Health and safety regulations are strictly enforced and you'll be required to wear and use protective gear at all times
- Performing this job requires use of bending, standing, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
