The City of Richmond Department of Public Works is seeking highly qualified candidates to fill a vacancy for the position of Mason in the Roadway Division. The incumbent is engaged in a variety of construction activities, performing masonry duties and associated tasks. Duties include but are not limited to Performing a variety of skilled masonry work and associated tasks to include, laying brick, concrete, and asphalt for sidewalks, roadways, and retention structures. Placing, smoothing, and finishing concrete cement surfaces. Performing daily equipment and vehicle inspections. Estimating the amount of materials need to perform a job. Operating appropriate equipment to perform each planned jobs. Loading and unloading required equipment.
