Massage Therapist - Spine & Pain

At The Spine and Pain Institute, our pain specialists work collaboratively with patients to help manage their pain so that they can get back to living their lives. Offering convenient outpatient treatment options at multiple locations, The Spine & Pain Institute offers a comprehensive team of pain management specialists to help eliminate your pain and get back to living.
A caregiver in this position works days, 7:30am-4:00pm or 8:00am-4:30pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Provide consistent professional massage and body treatments in accordance with accepted certification practices.
Provide individualized bodywork treatments that meet the patients' needs and expectations.
Obtain basic medical history for a client, assess any problems or conditions, and suggest appropriate therapy based on the current health of the patient.
Uphold standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and AGHS policies and procedures.
Maintain treatment room(s) appearance and cleanliness.
Care for equipment and use proper amounts of product to assist with cost controls.
Stock and maintain treatment rooms according to standard operating procedures.
Work in collaboration with providers to achieve the maximum benefit for the patient and the maximum care plan/treatment.
Assist with folding of all linens used in treatment rooms.
Assist the chiropractor assistant in rooming patients as needed.
Maintain and increase knowledge of bodywork treatments by attending education/training classes.
Complete mandatory education and training to maintain organization and department specific competencies and requirements. Maintains applicable certification/licensure. Maintains current Basic Life Support (BLS).
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Knowledge of numerous massage modalities and willing to continue massage training.
Certified as Massage Therapist.
Maintain a current state license and Basic Life Support (BLS).
Excellent communication and customer service-related skills.
Can work variable hours, as necessary.
