Master Data Manager – (Perm) – Remote (southeastern location required)

Leading distribution organization seeks an experienced and highly skilled Master Data Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in Master Data Management to include leading master data initiatives across multiple systems like ERP, HRIS and Payroll. Additionally, this person will have handled extensive data governance, de-duplication and Merger & Acquisition data initiatives prior. Individual will ideally have worked for a distributer with prior ERP data expertise. Requirements:

  • US Citizen or Green Card Work Authorization.
  • A bachelor's degree within the Sciences.
  • 5+ years in data management, governance and initiatives.
  • Prior experience within manufacturing and distribution, with a deep understanding of units of measure conversions (UOMs); an ability to easily convert product SKUs into truckload equivalency.
  • Strong Python, SQL and other data tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing and optimizing master data management within ERP system.
  • Enhancing data quality to drive informed decisions for the benefit of the company.
  • Developing and implementing data governance policies to ensure data accuracy, consistency, integrity and optimization across organization, and in support of business operations.
  • Overseeing the creation and maintenance of master data, updating as needed within the ERP; this includes product, inventory, customer and supplier data.
  • Monitoring and analyzing data quality, while identifying any discrepancies, and implementing corrective action to resolve any data issues, while also ensuring prevention of future occurrences.
  • Regular utilization of data reporting tools to include Python, SQL, and others.
  • Liaising with IT and other departments to coordinate data management for integration and migration projects, ensuring seamless flow between ERP and other systems.
  • Performing regular data audits and analysis to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvements.
  • Developing and implementing data management processes and best organizational practices to streamline efficiency, improve accuracy and enhance overall operations.
  • Training staff on data management best practices, while ensuring adherence to procedures and data policies.
  • Generating and presenting reporting on data dashboards to stakeholders to therefore provide insight and recommendations on data analysis optimization.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry-related data protection regulations and organizational policies related to data security and privacy.
  • Strong communication and attention to detail with the ability to effectively collaborate with all levels of staff within the organization to include presenting to executive leadership.
