Position Summary

The Master Scheduler develops daily and weekly production schedules to ensure the customer requirements are met on time and to quality ISO standards. This position will have direct responsibility of analyzing and determining material requirements, inventory levels, and maintaining optimal machine shop and assembly line capacity. He or she must be self-motivated, manage competing priorities and be able to work independently or as part of a team. This Position is located in our Springville, NY.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze, plan, and monitor machine shop and assembly line production schedules.
  • Release manufacturing and assembly work orders to satisfy customer requirements.
  • Maintain due dates and quantities for manufacturing and purchase orders in support of customer/forecast orders.
  • Establish and maintain manufacturing lead times, EOQs, forecasts, and other order policy data.
  • Ensure on-time delivery of purchased components by reviewing the item shortage reports.
  • Improve production and distribution process through timing of materials, drawings, routings, and ECN review.
  • Utilize Microsoft D365 MRP system to analyze, report, and manage production control data.
  • Review MRP and/or shortage reports and release shop orders and purchase orders for raw materials and purchased components.
  • Review open sales orders to determine material requirements and plant capacity.
  • Operate as a point of contact for the commercial and supply chain team.
  • Notify the commercial and supply chain teams of shortages and past due orders.
  • Assist supply chain team with notifications on past due POs and managing inventory.
  • Schedule customer sales orders based on availability when requested by sales.
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership.

Experience and Education

  • Bachelors Degree Required.
  • In-depth understanding of planning, scheduling, and supply chain parameters.
  • Previous experience in MRP systems (D365 preferred).
  • Working knowledge of computer and MS office applications.

Technical Skills

  • Excellent communication skills with internal and external customers.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge in 5S standards in lean manufacturing.
  • Strong abilities in change management, team collaboration, and planning innovation.

Travel Required

  • May be required to travel occasionally.
