The Maritime System Division (MSD) of Leidos is excited to invite applications for the position of Material Control Coordinator. In this dynamic role, you will play a crucial part in providing logistics planning and support within our rapidly growing environment at our Long Beach, MS facility.
As a pivotal team member, your contributions will directly influence the success of our projects.
Primary Responsibilities
- Engage in team meetings to understand project planning and deadlines, providing your support and insights.
- Efficiently receive materials into the warehouse.
- Conduct thorough inspections on incoming deliveries to ensure quality.
- Accurately input received materials into the inventory control system (ServiceNow).
- Facilitate program requests for the shipment of equipment, both internally and externally.
- Plan and oversee material movement in collaboration with purchasing, warehouse, and production departments.
- Maintain an organized and efficient warehouse environment, including inventory cages and shipping/receiving office.
- Prepare shipments for delivery and coordinate schedules with trucking services.
- Audit quotes for precision, ensuring compliance with FAR and Leidos procurement policies.
- Update project material tracking spreadsheets regularly to reflect current status.
- Follow and adhere to documented procedures for both receiving and shipping processes.
- Create shipping documents and package materials effectively for shipment.
- Support the team with logistics for equipment configurations.
- Complete DD1149's and all necessary material transfer documentation.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of related experience, including proficiency with inventory database software.
- Demonstrated experience in inventory maintenance.
- Experience performing online database entry, updates, and lookups.
- Strong computer skills and internet research capabilities.
- Proficient in operating office equipment and using software like Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with effective verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-paced environment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of internal and external management and staff.
- Meticulous attention to detail in all tasks.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance.
- Current Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- Must be a US citizen.
Preferred Experience
- Associate's degree or higher.
- Experience in DoD or Military Logistics.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow.
- Experience with Microsoft SharePoint.
- Forklift certification.

Pay Range: $34,450.00 - $62,275.00
