The Maritime System Division (MSD) of Leidos is excited to invite applications for the position of Material Control Coordinator. In this dynamic role, you will play a crucial part in providing logistics planning and support within our rapidly growing environment at our Long Beach, MS facility.

As a pivotal team member, your contributions will directly influence the success of our projects.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Engage in team meetings to understand project planning and deadlines, providing your support and insights.
  • Efficiently receive materials into the warehouse.
  • Conduct thorough inspections on incoming deliveries to ensure quality.
  • Accurately input received materials into the inventory control system (ServiceNow).
  • Facilitate program requests for the shipment of equipment, both internally and externally.
  • Plan and oversee material movement in collaboration with purchasing, warehouse, and production departments.
  • Maintain an organized and efficient warehouse environment, including inventory cages and shipping/receiving office.
  • Prepare shipments for delivery and coordinate schedules with trucking services.
  • Audit quotes for precision, ensuring compliance with FAR and Leidos procurement policies.
  • Update project material tracking spreadsheets regularly to reflect current status.
  • Follow and adhere to documented procedures for both receiving and shipping processes.
  • Create shipping documents and package materials effectively for shipment.
  • Support the team with logistics for equipment configurations.
  • Complete DD1149's and all necessary material transfer documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of related experience, including proficiency with inventory database software.
  • Demonstrated experience in inventory maintenance.
  • Experience performing online database entry, updates, and lookups.
  • Strong computer skills and internet research capabilities.
  • Proficient in operating office equipment and using software like Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with effective verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-paced environment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of internal and external management and staff.
  • Meticulous attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance.
  • Current Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  • Must be a US citizen.

Preferred Experience

  • Associate's degree or higher.
  • Experience in DoD or Military Logistics.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow.
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Forklift certification.

Pay Range: $34,450.00 - $62,275.00
