POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Verifies purchase requisitions and the creating of purchase orders for all facilities based on the guidelines of the purchasing department. Order inventory materials, obtains approval and forwards to suppliers as per instructions. Learning MAS, DataTools and Concur. Verifies and assists in recording daily receipts and preparation of documents to be forwarded to the accounting department. At times communicating with other team members at various plants. Keeps information accessible by sorting and filing documents as instructed. Assist in daily recording, preparation and verification of inventory transactions. Assisting in prepping materials for transfers to other plants. Loading and unloading of flatbed trucks (inbound board trucks and outgoing transfer trucks) Assist in completing cycle counts of inventory as instructed Assist in the preparation of monthly inventory related documents as instructed Retain and forward as necessary, inventory documents to appropriate departments and personnel. Assist in the compiling of monthly/yearly inventory physical counts. Accomplish purchasing, inventory and organization mission by completing related results as needed. Observe safety rules and policies at all times with materials and tools. Maintain quality standards as well as time standards. Maintain clean and organized work areas. Inspect and fill out forklift inspection sheet. Put away inventory. This may include processing paperwork, labeling, physically putting materials in proper locations. This would include RTF and Veneer products. Conducting cycle counts. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities. All other duties as assigned by Purchasing Manager EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS: Knowledge of purchasing policies, processes and procedures Knowledge of warehouse and inventory control policies and procedures High school diploma or equivalent Supply management ERP knowledge Moderate to Advanced computer skills are preferred (Microsoft Word, Excel, and outlook) Organized Documentation Skills Accounting Inventory management WORKING ENVIRONMENT: This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Requires willingness to work a flexible schedule. May be needed to start earlier and/or stay later than scheduled shift. Requires working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions. Requires sitting for long periods of time. Requires wearing common protective or safety equipment. Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs. Includes exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting and uncomfortable. Includes exposure to contaminants.
