Cope Station is a coal fire & natural gas facility.This is an entry level position responsible for loading and unloading of fuel (coal), miscellaneous utility work at the station, maintenance and grading of the fuel (coal) pile. Performs heavy lifting and outside work in inclement weather and in a noisy, dusty environment.Performs other duties as requested or assigned.Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & ExperienceMinimum Requirements (Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications):* Minimum of 0-2 years of related experience.* Operating heavy equipment such as dozers and loaders and the ability to efficiently and effectively grade piles of materials (i.e. dirt, coal) preferred.* Must be able to perform heavy lifting and outside work in inclement weather in a noisy, dusty environment.* Must be able to demonstrate good physical condition to perform work duties safely.* Must be mechanically oriented.* Requires ability to work weekends and holidays.Education RequirementsDegree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:* Completion of high school or equivalent (i.e., GED) is required.Licenses, Certifications, or Quals DescriptionMust have a valid driver's license with safe driving history.Working ConditionsConfined Spaces 76-100%Fumes 76-100%Heat 76-100%Loud Noise 76-100%Operating Machinery 76-100%Outdoors 76-100%Travel Up to 25%Office Work Environment Up to 25%Test DescriptionNo Testing RequiredExport ControlCertain positions at Dominion Energy may involve access to information and technology subject to export controls under U.S. law.
