Job Summary The Material Handler works under limited supervision, responsible to perform a variety of duties efficiently with high quality results. Hours for this position are from Monday - Friday: 5:00A - 1:30P with overtime at times, until 3:30P Responsibilities * Receives incoming material from our suppliers. * Uses a scan gun and printer to scan in the materials and print the appropriate label for the materials. * Works under limited supervision to complete tasks in an efficient timeframe with high quality. * Occasionally pulls and stages material in designated staging areas, for both shipping and production use. * Occasionally responsible for packaging shipments, this includes the use of nail guns and saw equipment. * Utilize a forklift and overhead cranes. * Maintains, inspects, and cleans equipment as required. * Keeps an organized work area by performing various housekeeping and maintenance functions following 6S philosophies. * Follows all safety rules and regulations, environmental regulating procedures and utilizes required safety equipment when appropriate. * Performs other duties as required. * Must be willing to work overtime when needed. Basic Qualifications * Position requires working knowledge of inventory management and prior experience in Receiving is required. * Material handling equipment experience. * Incumbent must follow all safety rules, environmental procedures and utilize required safety equipment. * One year experience in the production or distribution field. * Attained high school diploma or equivalent.
