About the job Material Handler - 1st & 2nd Shift (Rochester & Walworth NY) Job Overview:We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Material Handler responsible for general handling work such as loading and unloading trucks, loading, moving and unloading material within or between departments, moving stacking or placing storage bins within departments of receiving areas. Uses material handling equipment such as hand trucks, tow motors, forklifts, pallet trucks, etc.Key Responsibilities:Essential Duties and Responsibilities:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individual with disabilities to perform the essential job functions.Follows all safety process and procedures in accordance with the job and Company policy.Accountable for properly moving materials to workstations and/or staging areas per the ERP system process flow instructions.Loads and unloads material onto or from trucks, pallets, racks and shelves and location logged in ERPsystem.Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage intransit.Conveys materials to or from storage or work sites to designated area using forklift, tow motor or otherdevices.Ensures all activity involving moving material or product is entered in ERP system accurately.Assist in Inventory Cage when necessary.Other duties assigned as needed.Qualifications:High school diploma or general education degree (GED)2-3 years related experience moving material/product within production environment following production processes.
