Material Handler (1st Shift) - Club Car LLC : Job Details

JOB TITLE: Material HandlerClub Car boasts a 60+ year history of industry-leading innovation and design, initially focused on golf cars and then expanding to commercial utility vehicles and personal-use transportation.GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTIONUnder general supervision, distributes either production or non - production items and materials to various locations throughout the plant. Materials may consist of purchased parts, in process parts, or finished golf car and utility vehicles.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES* Moves parts or finished product and delivers mail packages to various department locations and/or warehouse locations.* Operates various material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and rolling carts or may move golf car and utility vehicles to and from yard.* Maintains the required paperwork and documentation of all parts and materials moved in accordance with the specified procedures.* Ensures work areas and other designated work areas are maintained in a safe and neat manner.* Assists with the training and instruction of new employees who may be assigned to this area.* Performs other related duties as required.OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* Maintains safe and productive work environment by assuring the work area is clear of tools, brooms, debris, and other items that may present a hazard.* Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.* Must be able to work overtime as necessary.QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOBEducation:* High School Diploma/Equivalent required.* Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.* Must be able to read and write in English.Experience:* Working knowledge of material handling equipment and warehouse operations preferred.KEY COMPETENCIES* Mechanical and technical skills.* Safety management mindset.* Focus on quality control.* Problem solving.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS* Requires occasional lifting of objects of objects 25 to 50 pounds.* Work requires periodic stooping/bending and frequent walking/standing.* Work involves activities that require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, machines, or vehicles.Club Car is a diverse and inclusive environment.
