This role works together with a team to achieve business objectives of safety, quality, productivity, customer service, cost, and environmental protection. The material handler works within a structure that requires strong partnership with support functions and with other team members to manage workflow.This will be a first shift position with working hours from 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Monday - Friday.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:Safety - Ensure all EOHS requirements (Environmental Occupational Health and Safety) are met while handling materials and operating equipment.Quality - Ensure all quality systems such as Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures(SOPs) are followed during all material movements and housekeeping processes.Productivity – Work with the material handler team to ensure all material movements and SAP transactions are complete to meet production and shipping needs.Leadership – Promote teamwork to achieve all goals for the warehouse and the facility. Take initiative to identify issues and offer continuous improvement actions in safety, quality, and productivity.CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:Material movement activities including the receiving, sampling, staging of materials for production. Put-away, shipping, inventory control, housekeeping, warehousing maintenance, recycling/waste transport, problem solving, and continuous improvement.EOHS responsibilities include understanding and adherence to all facility requirements such as Minimum Safe Behaviors (MSBs), proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and compliance with all storage and disposal requirements.Equipment responsibilities include safe operation, maintenance, and site training for all powered lifts. Also responsible for racking, docks, stretch wrapping, sampling, and labeling systems.Quality responsibilities include receiving inspections, sampling, daily housekeeping, and cGMP/Micro compliance for all material storage.Control inventory via accurate physical and SAP/Warehouse Management System (WMS) tracking of the quantity and movement of every material.Receiving, shipping, staging, of materials; use of scanner; perform bin control, confirmations, inventory reporting/adjustments, and troubleshooting.Perform housekeeping protocols/audits, management of storage areas, visual workplace (VWP) continuous improvement, and driver hosting.KEY COMPETENCIES:Attention to detail with the ability to follow all proceduresNeatly, accurately and precisely documenting tasksUtilize basic math skills during batch control to ensure accurate inventories of each materialComputer skills to operate controls (such as scale interface, handheld scanner, SAP computer transactions, computer email).Aptitude to quickly learn new relevant computer skills.Strong communication skills with ability to understand and assess team production performance via visual, written, and verbal communications.Problem solving skills to apply data-driven continuous improvement tools such as Root Cause Analyses to resolve issues and improve results.Leadership to take initiative for continuous improvement and act according to Managing With Respect principles.Teamwork to work closely with others to achieve shared goals.EDUCATION:High School Diploma or equivalent requiredEXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS:Minimum of 2 years' experience in warehouse or manufacturing environment, including experience with safety and quality systems required, preferably in a Material Handling capacityDemonstrated computer skills to use SAP/WMS System for transactions and troubleshootingSkill at adding/subtracting/multiplying/dividing with consistent accuracyAbility to read, write, speak, and understand EnglishAbility to lift up to 55 pounds repeatedly with or without accommodationAbility to work on feet for extended periods in a fast-paced environment with or without accommodationAbility to meet shift requirements with excellent attendanceAbility to work mandatory overtime including weekend work when neededTeamwork and strong interpersonal skills.Compensation and BenefitsSalary Range $ - $ USDPay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
