About the Opportunity: • Job Title: Material Handler • Pay Rate Range: $24.50/Hour • Location: Golden Valley, MN • Schedule: 2nd Shift, M-Th, 2:15pm - 12:45am, O/T is mandatory as needed (Additional OT on Afternoons, Fridays and weekends as needed). • Position Type: Temp to Hire Material Handler Requirements and Qualifications:
6 months minimum recent forklift experience (sit-down propane or stand-up electric preferred). High School Diploma or GED. Familiarity with SAP operating systems and Lean Manufacturing practices preferred. Ability to lift 35 pounds. Exposed to engine exhaust and outside conditions while working on dock. Walks or stands continuously. Stand for full duration of shift. Material Handler Duties and Responsibilities:
Uses power operated material handling equipment, receives, and stores incoming materials. Moves incoming materials and stock from receiving to storage area. Checks move order or identification ticket for location. Stores items in designated area. Loads and unloads items such as machinery, equipment and raw materials from trailers and flatbeds using wire slings to bind loads while hoisting and moving with power operated material handling equipment. Process shipments to customers within scheduled timeline. Shipments must meet SQDCI standards and follow proper shipping procedures. Use SAP operating system, as required, to complete shipments, inventory, and move stock. Fills orders for raw stock and miscellaneous items. Read orders for quantity and description of requested items or materials. Draws materials from storage area, indicates amount used on order and spots load in outgoing area. Inventories materials upon request. Receives request from items in stock, checks file location, counts items by physical or weight count and notifies customers of available supply. Understand part identification and notify group leader of issues and errors. This includes counting parts and the following procedures.
