The freedom to pursue new ideas, offer different perspectives, and grow in your career is fundamental to working at Dorman.JOB DESCRIPTIONWork Location: Warsaw, KYDepartment: OperationsFLSA Status: Non-ExemptFTE Status: Full TimeJ ob title:Material Handler IReports to:SupervisorJob Summary:Use ofmotorized industrial equipment to load and unload trucks; to transport and locate materials; pick and put-away product; replenish picking locationsPrimary Duties (5-7 Key responsibilities)Operate motorized industrial equipment such as sit-down fork truck, stock picker and reach truckPerform daily checks of equipment prior to operating equipmentOperate within standard operating proceduresUse hand-held or truck mounted radio frequency (RF) scannersAdhere to all safety standards and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelinesMaintain accurate logs or other required documentation depending on the job task being performedFollow work order instructions to perform assignments throughout the facilityFollow documented procedures with accuracyOther duties as assignedKey Accountabilities / Qualifications:Key Accountabilities:Ability to pass the motorized industrial equipment test and obtain licenseRotate position / jobs as requiredParticipate in department meetings and projectsMeet safety, accuracy, productivity and housekeeping minimum standardsAbility to follow verbal and written instructionsAbility to work independentlyQualifications:Good math skillsTimely and regular attendance; must be able to work OT if neededPhysical Requirement: Capability to lift 45 pounds.Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach, swivel, carry items from one building to another, and speak and actively listen.
