**Material Handler- Contractor** Location **NJ, West Caldwell** Department **Operations** Employment Type **Temporary Full Time - Contractor** The Electronics Group of Crane Aerospace & Electronics designs and manufactures high-density, high-reliability electronics for several industrial and commercial customers.

**We have an exciting opportunity for a Material Handler at our West Caldwell, NJ location for a 4 month contract**

**Overall Responsibilities:**

The Material Handler supports the manufacturing process by performing the physical tasks involved in the receiving; stocking, issuing and shipping of materials or products. You will work with the sites Production Planners, Material Planners, and Cell Leads to ensure the cell operators have the proper materials. You will be reading and interpreting production reports. The following responsibilities are typical of what this position may be required to perform, however they are not all inclusive.

**Primary Responsibilities:**

* Ensure effective inventory control over all incoming and stocked materials.

* Receive, unpack and stock materials.

* Issue critical materials to production cells.

* Participate in cycle count process.

* Responding to unplanned issues.

* Special projects as needed.

* Pack and ship materials in accordance with contract requirements.

* Coordinate shipping with carriers.

* Process returned products.

* Ensure compliance with export compliance rules.

* Other responsibilities as assigned.

**Minimum Requirements:**

* Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of relevant electronics manufacturing experience required.

* High School diploma or equivalent required.

* Proficient in inventory and materials processes and procedures.

* Proficient in the use of Microscopes.

* Advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes and software tools.

* Familiar with lean principles.

* Demonstrated outstanding manual dexterity.

* Demonstrated ability to concentrate on repetitive tasks.

* Demonstrated ability to accurately follow detailed work instructions.

* Demonstrated ability to understand standard work instructions.

* Math skills to perform basic calculations.

* Outstanding verbal communication skills.

* Proficient with MS Office.

**Special Work Conditions:**

* **Eligibility Requirement:** This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
