Job Description

SCF Lewis and Clark Terminals LLC is seeking a Material Handler/Crane Operator for our team in St. Louis, MO/Granite City, IL areas. You will be operating a material handler or crane to unload cargo and maintain daily crane inspection reports. We operate in an environment where flexibility and a willingness to take on new tasks, and responsibilities keep things interesting!

What you'll be doing:

Crane Operation:

* Safely operate material handler or crane to unload cargo, lift, move, and position heavy materials and equipment with precision.

* Perform thorough pre-operational checks and inspections to ensure crane safety and functionality.

* Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.

* Coordinate with riggers and ground personnel to ensure safe and efficient crane operations.

* Operate and inspect material handler/crane, ensuring it is in optimal working condition at all times.

Material Handling:

* Efficiently manage the movement, storage, and organization of materials within the worksite.

* Load and unload materials from trucks, barges, and rail.

* Ensure proper labeling and documentation of materials to maintain accurate inventory records.

* Utilize forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed to support operations.

Maintenance and Reporting:

* Perform daily inspections on material handlers or cranes and other equipment to ensure reliability and safety.

* Maintain detailed and accurate reports of crane operations, inspections, and maintenance activities.

* Report any defects, damages, or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly.

Additional Duties:

* Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.

* Participate in safety meetings and training sessions to stay updated on best practices and safety procedures.

* Perform other duties as assigned or requested to support the overall operations and success of the team

Candidates must:

* Must be able to read and write the English language to comply with USCG regulatory requirements
