Job Description :

The Custodian/Material Handler will have dual roles. The role is responsible for keeping the manufacturing plant area clear of debris which include bags, straps, boxes etc. and will have the responsibility for doing variety of tasks which include the safe and efficient operations of the manual pallet jack as well as other material handling equipment.

  • General Housekeeping
  • Sweep and mop floors (break room and restroom)
  • Collect and empty all trash cans
  • Baling cardboard and plastic for recycling
  • Clean outside grounds and parking lot.
  • When necessary, vacuum production offices and mop QC offices
  • Use floor sweeper and floor scrubber
  • Maintain cGMP supplies such as hairnets, ear plugs, and beard nets
  • Clean cafeteria daily- sweep, mop, clean counters, cabinets, microwaves, and refrigerator
  • Empty garbage and recycle bins as needed
  • Make sure restrooms are kept supplied with paper towels, soap, & toilet paper
  • Supply raw materials such as boxes and bags to workstations on a timely basis
  • Stack and label boxes to be used in production
  • Communicate with the lead person as to specific job requirements
  • Provide assistance in setting up re-work areas as needed
  • Make sure line conveyors are set up to the proper length to accommodate finished product and assist with moving of tape machines, worktables, etc.
  • Stretch wrap completed pallets and apply pallet completion labels
  • Assist in many other areas when required
  • Other duties as assigned.
