Material Handler - Day Shift - Express Employment : Job Details

Located in Sherwood, OR Salary: $22/HourA client of ours in Sherwood is looking for a Material Handler to add to their day shift. You will be maintaining production and distribution of products by pulling order and inventory, this position will work both inside and outside. #1939LIDThis is an evaluation to a full-time hire role.Duties:

• Read work order or follow oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved
• Load/unload materials using fork truck, cranes or by hand, from pallets, trays, etc.
• Secure lifting attachments to materials and conveys load to destination
• Work closely with purchasing, inspectors and vendors to ensure all material is received as ordered on P.O.
  • This includes meeting thickness and flatness tolerances along with width/diameter and length dimensions plus type and grade of material
• Recommends ways to improve productivity and safety
• Inform proper individuals of shortages on pick list, in order to meet timely completion of rush and breakdown orders
• Ability to use a computer to enter data and create shipping labels and BOL's/

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs):

• HS Diploma/GED
• Experience using Fed-EX and UPS for shipping and receiving
• Ability to use computer.
• Ability to operate forklift and/ or pallet jack
• Comfortable with numbers and basic math
• Experience in material handling and/or logistics
• Lift up to 50 lbs.

Pay: $ $22/hr. Schedule: Monday - Friday 6am to 2:30pmApply in three ways!
