This position requires the ability to pull and pack orders in a timely manner; stock all items in correct locations using the inventory management software as well as the barcode system. This position requires the ability to multi-task as well as follow standard operating procedures at all times.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesOrder Picking: 25% of position responsibilityAssigns orders to boxes ready to ship using barcode scannerPicks proper item numbers and quantities per pick listOrder Packing: 25% of position responsibilityUses barcode scanner to pack ordersPacks product in properly sized boxesPacks ice products in proper containersLoads and unloads trucks using forklifts and hand jacksOrder Shipping: 25% of position responsibilityUses FedEx Ship ManagerUses UPS World ShipPrepares Bill of Ladings for less than truckload and truckload shipmentsPrepares and ships international shipments with Custom's Invoices and Shippers Export DeclarationsInventory: 20% of position responsibilityManually stocks inventoryUses Great Plains Inventory program systems managerPerforms Great Plains inventory inquiries and bin transfersInvestigates inventory and order errors, physically and in Great Plains systemOther duties as assigned: 5% of position responsibilityEducation and ExperienceHigh School degree or equivalent.Six months ' related experience and/or training in a warehouse environment is preferred.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesProven ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructionsAbility to solve general math problems encountered in day-to-day operationsConsistently displays attention to detail.Proficient in oral and written communications, both internally and externallyAbility to work independently as well as in a team environmentAbility to adapt and be flexible in a variety of situationsBeginner ability with Microsoft Office Suite, Internet Software and E-mailWorking ConditionsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
