As the Checker, we need someone who is ready to provide a variety of support such as packing and verifying orders and labeling boxes.Shift: 3rd Shift* Monday - Friday* 11:30 PM-8:00 AMPay Rate:* Entry Rate: $17.51* 3-month Progression Increase: $ 18.57* Plus $1.00 shift differentialPrimary Objective* Packs, checks, and verifies orders for shipping.Major Function and Scope* Wraps and packs products by hand into boxes for shipping.* Label boxes with packing slips.* Verifies orders for accuracy.* Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor.* Follows standard operating and safety procedures. Keeps area safe, clean, and organized.* Operates sit-down forklift.* Performs other related duties as required.Experience and Knowledge Required* Requires a high school diploma-ability to read and write English.* Previous distribution/warehouse experience is a plus, not required.Competencies* Good oral and written communication skills, record-keeping skills, listening skills, accurate measurement capability, ability to understand and speak basic English, and ability to work safely and conscientiously.Other Pertinent Job Information* While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms.* The associate is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.* The associate may be required to sometimes sit, climb, or balance.* The associate may lift and/or move up to 110 pounds.* Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.* While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.* The associate is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.We offer competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, career opportunities, and an environment of creativity and growth.
