Material Handler I
2nd shift
2pm-10:30pm
Position Summary
The purpose of this position is to be responsible for making sure that material is on the production line to ensure compliance with production schedule. Responsible for the recycling program.
TRAINING FOR THIS SHIFT MAY BE ON A DIFFERENT SHIFT FOR UP TO ONE MONTH
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities
* Move materials from storage area to production area as needed.
* Return empty pallets to storage area for reuse.
* Performs order entry of keying receiving information into computer program.
* Perform daily maintenance and inspection of forklift.
* Assist in loading and unloading of inbound and outbound shipments.
* Assist in combining inventory items to better utilize material inventory cage.
* Perform cycle count, daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly to achieve 95% or greater inventory accuracy.
* Keep work area neat and clean.
* Additional duties may be assigned as needed for business purposes.
Qualifications and Skill Requirements
* High School diploma/GED (minimum)
* Must have at least two years of manufacturing experience preferably in a fabrication or production environment
* Experience using computer
* Be vigilant about safety
* Quality - conscious, oriented to excellence
