Reporting to the Operations Manager.Schedule: Weekdays, 6AM Start Time, Full TimePay: $19/hour, paid weeklyBenefits: Health, vision, dental, life, AD&D, and 401kTime Off: Paid vacation, sick leave, and 9 holidaysWarehouse responsibilities contribute to the company's success by ensuring accurate and timely packaging, bailing, and bagging of donated clothing for shipment. In addition, each employee is responsible for the careful transfer, packaging, and storage of materials and the effective utilization of resources. The position involves forklift operation, processing unloaded material, recycling, and general cleaning through a variety of mechanisms including the use of rolling carts, fork trucks, and manual labor.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other responsibilities may be assigned): Warehouse Duties Load and Unload Trucks: Efficiently load and unload goods from delivery trucks to ensure timely processing of inventory.Load Trailers: Assist in safely and accurately loading items into trailers for transportation.Groundskeeping: Perform general groundskeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized outdoor environment around the warehouse facility.Warehouse & Office Cleaning: Keep the warehouse and office spaces clean, organized, and free from debris to ensure a safe working environment.Sorting Inventory: Sort clothing, shoes, and other materials, ensuring that all items are categorized correctly and stored in the appropriate locations. Discard or dispose of trash and unusable items as necessary.Inventory Tracking: Accurately record the weight of items using the warehouse scale system and update inventory logs as required. RequirementsEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Degree and 1 year of driving small commercial trucks: or the equivalent combination of education and experience.LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret maps and GPS technology. Complete paperwork accurately and completely and understand the importance of detail. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, supervisors and employees. Must be able to read, speak, write and understand Basic English.REASONING ABILITY: Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:Pass a pre-employment drug screening, background check, and a DOT physicalHave a good driving record without major incidents that meets Planet Aid's insurability standardAdhere to and enforce all safety proceduresFlexibility to work overtime and weekend hours when requested to meet business needsDemonstrate safe driving skillsCapable of operating a large box truck in the congested Metropolitan areasPrepared to work in any traffic or weather conditions according to the pickup locations.Follow directions and possess a can do attitude.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee is required to drive for a sustained period of time (within DOT standards). The employee is required to stand for a long period of time.
