We are looking for a Material Handler to join our shipping/warehouse manufacturing team. This position is responsible for performing a variety of tasks involving the shipping, receiving, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Understand and comply with any/all guidelines within the Immucor Quality Manual, cGMP, GDP, FDA, ISO, Housekeeping, and Departmental Compliance.. Material Handler III- Shipping (Warehouse/Manufacturing)
Responsibilities
Responsibilities for Material Handler include:
- Comply with all departmental procedures.
- *UPS & FedEx, Receiving all incoming Semi's.
- *Unpack & Check in all incoming freight, raw materials, biologicals,equipment, etc.
- *Put all temperature sensitive material in the proper storage.
- *Communicate with and deliver/disperse incoming materials across all designated labs/departments.
- *Maintain stock in general lab stock room, raw material and component storage and Walk-In cold rooms.
- *Assist in shipping department when needed.
- *Provide assistance to associates as needed across multiple departments.
- *Enter all received materials into applicable systems.
- *Verify and process (data entry) for all deliveries according to cGMP and any/all departmental procedures.
- *Receives, handles, stores, rotates and delivers all raw material, components, finished goods according to FIFO, cGMP, and any/all departmental procedures.
- *Operates and maintains department equipment.
- *Ensures that any inspections required are performed according to regulations.
- *Actively participates in the training of new employees.
- *Warehouse work (storing/rotating supplies, raw materials/components, restacking pallets, and organizing storage areas.
- *Perform cycle counts and/or physical yearend inventory (when required) of all supplies, raw material/components, Finished Goods and/or consumables.
- *Pull/scan/pack orders according to FIFO, cGMP, and any/all departmental procedures.
- *Identify and report any/all unsafe equipment and/or working conditions.
- *Discard expired product when directed.
- *Report any delayed, damaged or incomplete receipts and aging items to management.
Additional Responsibilities include:
- *Perform other related duties as assigned.
- *Complete Biological routing forms for HLA Positive Plamsa for Manufacturing dept and Platelets for Protein Purification dept.
- *Understand and follows FDA and ISO standards in accordance with Immucor Quality Manual, GEN, Quality Procedures such as cGMP and GDP, Good Housekeeping, and departmental compliance in general.
- *Displays ability to be an effective team member.
- *Maintain a clean and neat work environment
- *Interacts cooperatively with coworkers & receives direction well from supervisors and/or designees.
- *Meets achievement levels established for error accuracy rates and competency evaluations.

Qualifications
Other requirements for the Material Handler role include:
- Associate's Degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must have PC and keyboarding skills along with knowledge of e-mail and internet.
- Must be able to work irregular hours as necessary to meet production standards.
