Are you ready to Make Your Mark at Berry?For more information, visit our website {rel= noopener target= blank }, or connect with us on LinkedIn {rel= noopener target= blank }or X. {rel= noopener target= _blank }ResponsibilitiesBy means of pallet jacks, hand trucks, or other means, the Production Material Handler is responsible for the movement of product in connection with receiving, storing, staging, and distribution functions.RESPONSIBILITIES:Promotes a strong safety culture and help provide oversight of safe work practices.Sets a positive example for employees by actively participating in completion of daily work and promoting company policies, procedures and goals.Proactively participates in a company team approach; and effectively communicates operational needs and priorities with internal team members.Follows procedures and JSAs- insertion of corrugated material, obtains needed packaging supplies, grinding scrap bottles/tails.In charge of maintain consumables and packing materials for the coating material.Reads schedules, pick list, packing list, and, or, material requisitions to determine items to be move, gathered, distributed, staged, and, or, loaded.Conveys materials and items from receiving areas to storage and, or, designated areas.Other duties as assigned.Pick products for coating according to the department schedule in a timely fashionAssist with inventoryComplete required documentationQUALIFICATIONS:Must be able to work safely and follow safety rules.Must be able to identify and report violations and unsafe conditions to appropriate personnel.Must be able to wear protective clothing as uniform, rubber-soled shoes, gloves, long-sleeved shirt, and earplugs.Must be able to follow all department procedures and directives.Good written and verbal communication skills.Able to read, write, speak and understand English directions/instructions.Basic math skills.Able to work overtime.Required to lift boxes weighting up to 35 lbs.Demonstrate computer knowledge in DcLink and JDE.Forklift driving is required a minimum of 4 hours per day. The individual must pass Berrys Forklift Training Course
