Material Handler - Prestolite Electric : Job Details

Order#: NY1507098Material HandlerJob Duties and Responsibilities: Ability to pick, pack and ship orders in an accurate and timely manner. Utilize Barcode Scanners to perform Pick, Put-Away & Shipping transactions. Provide backup for team in Warehouse, performing various duties as assigned. Must be able to operate all material handling equipment, use required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety rules and company policies. Communicate with others as needed to prevent and resolve problems or issues. Notify Supervisors of problems that are not resolvable. High degree of attention to detail and accuracy required on all transactions. Housekeeping - maintain clean and orderly work area. Ability to work efficiently with limited supervision.Specific Knowledge and Abilities: Must have lift truck license or be able to pass certification test. Must be able to use man-lift and be able to pick material from high places. Must have an excellent attendance record. Must be able to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds repetitively through the day. Needs to be detail oriented to ensure accuracy is maintained at the highest level. Willing to work in other areas or different shifts of the department as assigned. Must be able to work overtime on short notice. Demonstrates effective communication/interpersonal skills. Must possess basic computer skills. Oracle experience preferred.
