Material Handler - National Material L.P. : Job Details

The primary role of this position includes but is not limited to gathering sub parts from the angle line, plasma table and South Side to then put on a main member to take up to fabrication department. Essential Duties and Principal Responsibilities • Coordinating with the Production Manager • Safely use overhead cranes. • Operating a forklift. • Arriving at work on time. • Follow Instructions • Completing Daily Timesheets. • Checking paperwork to make sure that it is accurate and complete. • Always maintaining professionalism when in the shop. • Maintaining a Philosophy of Continuous Improvement • Working closely with all individuals in this department and as a team. • Maintaining a focus on your external and internal customer (Fabrication and Shipping) • Encourage others to speak up and help their teammates towards success • Always keeping Safety at the forefront and encouraging a safety minded culture • Detail orientated • Ability to problem solve and multi-task • Work closely with all departments • Ability to communicate clearly Qualifications / Requirements • Dependable and demonstrated organization. • Ability to make decisions quickly and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. • Organized and highly detailed. Self-motivated. • Must be able to work within a team setting and effectively communicate with multiple departments. • Safety and OSHA compliant. • Pass a post offer non D.O.T. physical and Musculoskeletal Assessment. • Pass a post offer non D.O.T. drug screen. Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals, schematics, work orders, and quality documents.
