Utilizes hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material to and from aircraft, trucks or trains and within the storage facility. May require a high school diploma with 0-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.Job DescriptionDuties & Responsibilities Information

• Follows written and oral instructions
• Makes limited decisions involving standard procedures, methods and practices
• Operates power lift trucks in safe manner, moving a variety of materials and products throughout the plant
• Requires precise placement of materials, tools, jigs, and fixtures
• Requires boxing, banding or securing loads for movement
• Daily checks of lift truck to ensure all systems are functional and all saftey devices are in place
• Exercises good housekeeping in work area.
• Observes good safety practices in performance of job.
