Job Title: Material Handler - Steel Manufacturing

Location: Aurora, Ohio

Salary: $19 per hour

Shift: 1st Shift, Monday to Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm

Every other Friday, 6:30 am to 2:00 pm.

Position Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our team

The Material Handler will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process by ensuring the efficient handling and movement of materials throughout the facility

Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes to move materials to and from designated areas.
• Load and unload materials from trucks, railcars, and other transportation vehicles.
• Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas.
• Prepare materials for production by staging and delivering to appropriate workstations.
• Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock replenishment.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in work areas.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
• Valid forklift certification and experience operating material handling equipment.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
