1st shift: 7a-5p Monday-Thursday 2nd shift: 3p-11p Monday-Friday 3rd shift: 7p-5a Monday-Thursday *MUST HAVE RELIABLE (OWN) TRANSPORTATION* Job Overview: We are currently seeking a Material Handler to join our team at a tier one auto supplier in Howell, MI. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for efficiently and accurately handling and moving materials within the warehouse. This is a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing process. Responsibilities: - Safely and efficiently load and unload materials from trucks or containers using various equipment such as lift trucks and reach trucks - Operate warehouse management system to track and locate materials - Perform basic math calculations to ensure accurate inventory counts - Inspect and verify incoming materials against shipping documents - Prepare materials for shipment by packaging, labeling, and staging them appropriately - Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote a safe and efficient working environment - Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies Requirements: - Previous experience as a Fork lift driver/Material Handler or in a similar role preferred - Valid certification to operate lift trucks or reach trucks is a plus and highly desired - Familiarity with warehouse management systems is desirable - Basic math skills for inventory tracking and calculations - Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials - Excellent organizational skills to maintain an orderly warehouse environment - Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes in a distribution center setting If you are a motivated individual with the necessary skills and experience, we would love to hear from you.
