Job Description
  • Change LP gas or electric battery when needed.
  • Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
  • Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials, and transports, load to designated area.
  • Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.
  • Inventories materials on work floor, and supply associates with materials as needed and notifies Supervisor of shortages.
  • Weighs materials or products and records weight on tags, labels, or production schedules as needed or directed.
  • Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device.
  • Ensures all containers are properly identified and are placed in designated areas.
  • Ensures all containers are signed off by material handler before moving.
  • Ensures all containers are locked and the load is secure before moving.
  • Transports baskets to and from designated areas.
  • Maintain safety precautions throughout shop floor.
  • Maintain finished goods area and keep parts in FIFO.
  • Monitors inventory of baskets for production and notifies Supervisor of shortages.
  • Informs Supervisor of any WIP shortages or concerns.
  • Keeps back pad orderly and clean.
Required Skills
  • Keep lines running by supporting them with empty racks/ containers and moving parts to and from machines.
  • Assist production on machinery when necessary.
  • Maintains areas in keeping them organized and clean daily
Required ExperienceLevel 3: High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience. Language Skills: Level 3: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Mathematical Skills: Level 2.Basic Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability:Level 3.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
