Description**Some weekends will be required** Responsible for the physical movement of material from the production unit to the warehouse storage area, from storage to customer shipments and the receipt of raw material. Key Responsibilities Job Function
- Pull finished goods from inventory storage location; prepare shipments (label, documentation, shrink wrap) and stage for customer shipments.
- Inspect common carrier trailer and load truck for shipment to customer. Verify documentation against physical material loaded, ensure order requirements are read and complied with (ie: order instructions) prior to releasing shipment.
- Unload trailers of raw material from vendor and prepare for receipt (label containers, sample each lot, post Navision receipt transaction) put away material into warehouse location.
- Remove/put away new production from Production Units.
- Prepare/document lab samples to customers via UPS/FedEx software.
- Actively participate in plants safety program
- Maintain good housekeeping and a safe work environment. Perform general housekeeping of the warehouses (trash cans emptied, loose debris swept up) will be done prior to and after shift daily. Forklift charging areas and storage areas will be kept clean and free of debris at the end of each shift.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Safety
- Attend all company sponsored safety training programs.
Housekeeping
- Maintain housekeeping standards throughout the warehouses, shelters, storage rooms, forklifts charging room, etc.
RequirementsSpecific Knowledge, Skills and Education/Experience
- 3- 5 years minimum forklift/warehouse experience.
- Position requires a HS diploma or GED & basic PC skills.
- Must acquire and maintain forklift operator Certification.
- Must acquire and maintain DOT/IATA certification.
Physical and Work Environment
- Bending and lifting up to 50 lbs manually and unassisted
- Walking between departments and using stairs.
- Maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts
