SUMMARY The receiving and material handler will work in both the receiving area as well as the offset pressroom providing material movement and other services to both departments throughout the day. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Unload raw materials delivered from outside vendors (inbound trucks).
  • Verify the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming deliveries. Receive materials in MIS system and reference job tickets for proper identification labels and move to designated staging areas.
  • Document returns as/when necessary.
  • Assist with monthly physical and cycle inventory counts.
  • Operate machinery responsibly (Pallet Jack, Forklift, Load Turner, etc.) and conduct daily inspections of machinery for safety.
  • Transports materials to and from storage to designated area using forklift, pallet jack, carts and other devices conducting.
  • Responsible for press waste management and recycling.
  • Maintain clean and organized work area at all times.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned in a timely, diligent and safe manner.
Requirements REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience operating forklift, hand and motorized pallet jacks, ride-a-long.
  • Computer experience (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat are minimum requirement).
  • Ability to effectively communicate professionally written/verbally.
  • Ability to lift 60lbs.
  • Pushing and pulling (manual floor jacks) and perform activities that use the whole body (Bending, Lifting, Twisting, Sitting, Stacking and Walking frequently).
  • Capable of being on feet the majority of the workday.
  • Ability to multi-task, perform under pressure, and meet deadlines in a fast paste environment.
