Job Summary This role is primarily responsible for handling and storage of material, and responsible for compliance to Quality Systems Regulation (QSR). Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide services to production lines by supplying parts/material as requested. Pull material from storage and deliver to the production lines.
  • Support manufacturing lines and managing daily inventory transactions at supermarkets.
  • Assists in Sunrise's cycle count program.
  • Stock material from receiving/holding area to storage racks/location and production floor supermarkets.
  • Assists warehouse supervisor and material's manager with the preparation carrying out physical inventory.
  • Responsible for transaction accuracy and control of inventory in the warehouse.
  • Responsible for following all applicable safety/housekeeping guidelines. Performs necessary preventative maintenance.
  • Responsible for monitoring specific flow-line functionality, consisting of part shortages and kanban cards.
  • Responsible for observing an enforcing C-TPAT security policies and procedures.
  • May work on special projects/assignments upon request.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One years warehouse/forklift experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend (in English) simple and complex instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Documents may include: Material Safety Data Sheets, work orders, work instructions, manuals, policies and procedures, schematics, diagrams, etc.
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Familiar with KANBAN System preferred.
  • Familiar with Lean Manufacturing preferred.
  • Familiar with computerized inventory system preferred.
  • Must be forklift certified or have the ability to be forklift certified.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Ability to solve problems in a practical manner.
