POSITION SUMMARY: Drives liquefied gas, or electric powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as a forklift to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials. Responsible for raw material and finished goods handling, loading and unloading trucks, and distribution of material to warehouse or production lines by performing the following duties personally. Thereafter, competencies are assessed on an on-going basis and formally documented annually using the Annual Performance Evaluation Form. - Drives gasoline, liquefied gas, or electric powered industrial truck.
- Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
- Positions forks or other lifting device under loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transports load to designated area.
- Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.
- Transports finished material from GC to Logistics and then to packing lines or recycle area.
- Before moving finished product, verifies that product is written up correctly and job jackets are on skids.
- Wraps or bands skids for stability.
- Carries material to and from packing lines.
- Weighs materials or products and records weight for LTL shipments.
- Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device.
- Loads and unloads truck, distributes and transfers materials into and out of warehouse.
- Lubricates truck, recharges batteries or replaces liquefied gas tank.
- Performs basic maintenance on forklift as required.
- Maintains cleanliness of work area and equipment.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED): or 1 to 3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Skills/Qualifications:
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL REQUIREMENTS: The incumbent must manage stress appropriately; make decisions under pressure; handle multiple priorities, work alone; work in areas that are confined and/or crowded. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: The incumbent may be exposed to toxins, chemicals, and extreme temperatures (30degrees F - 115 degrees F), dust, fumes, moving mechanical parts, high pitched noises, or gases. The incumbent will spend approximately 75% of their time indoors. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds.
