At a Glance

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Material Handler to join the Data Center Power & Control Division Team in Reno, NV. The Material Handler III, as with all members of the Legrand Team, is expected to promote a positive attitude, demonstrate initiative, professionalism, personal awareness, integrity, and exercise confidentiality.

What Will You Do?

  • Perform advanced Material Handler and inventory control duties.
  • Maintain proper inventory integrity by participating in cycle counts and aisle cleanliness.
  • Responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy. Reconciles inventory discrepancies.
  • Ensure salvage/non-conforming processes are performed to company standard.
  • Pick and ship Contract Manufacturer, Pallet, and Parcel orders through ERP System/Epicor 10.
  • As assigned, complete specified bin transfers and inventory moves within ERP System/Epicor 10.
  • Perform advanced shipping functions and demonstrate complete understanding of AES filings and IPD shipments.
  • Assist Department Lead with managing the day to day business objectives.
  • Perform duties to support daily key business metrics.
  • Perform Enterprise Resource Planning system (ERP/Epicor) transactions as directed by Lead/Supervisor.
  • As directed, participate as a committee member on an assigned committee to improve facility operations.
  • Promote practical application of 5S and Lean concepts.
  • Promote a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Ensure correct use of equipment throughout warehouse environment.
  • Maintain compliance with all ISO regulations and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years warehouse and inventory control experience.
  • Forklift certification and previous experience operating a pallet jack.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to provide information across multiple groups in the Company.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Computer proficiency with knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word/Excel/Outlook), preferred.
  • Familiarity of ISO 9000 standards and audit process.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
